NEET

NEET 2022 exam is likely to be announced by the fourth week of February or the first week of March. As per reports, NEET UG 2022 is likely to be held on a Sunday of June last week or July first week. Accordingly, the NEET UG registration 2022 will commence in the first week of April. Generally, the application window for NEET lasts a month, but depending on the situation and the number of registrations received, the application and fee payment deadline may be extended by a week. There has been no official announcement on the NEET 2022 exam date yet. Generally, the Union Minister of Education announces the date of the exam after which the National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the notification and information brochure. This year, the exam authorities are also mulling the idea of conducting NEET twice a year.

NEET 2021 – National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) as a single entrance test. The exam is held at the national level, for admission in 100% MBBS and BDS seats. Other than this, admission in BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses is also granted on the basis of NEET rank and score. Eligible 10+2 qualifying candidates can apply for the exam. 

NTA conducts NEET on the first Sunday of May. Hence, it is expected that NEET 2021 will be held on May 02, 2021. Additionally, there are speculations on reduction in the syllabus of NEET 2021 as CBSE has reduced class 11 and 12 syllabi by 30%. NEET 2021 is an offline exam, on 720 marks and 180 MCQs. 

NEET exam date is always on the 1st Sunday of May. Hence, it is being speculated that the NEET 2021 exam will be held on May 02, 2021. However, the exact exam date will be out soon by NTA, on natneet.nic.in and nta.ac.in.

NEET Application Form 2021

National Testing Agency will release the NEET 2021 application form on First week of December 2021 in online mode. To fill the NEET application candidates must follow five steps as detailed below. Before applying for NEET 2021, its advisable to keep necessary documents ready.

1. NEET 2021 Registration: 

Candidates must enter their name, email Id, mobile number, gender etc to register and generate their provisional application number and login credentials.

2. Login to fill NEET Registration form 2021:

Next candidates must use the given NEET 2020 login ID and password to fill the personal, academic and communication details

3. Upload photograph, signature and other documents: 
The details and specifications of the photograph and signature are given below.

4. Pay the Application fee of NEET:

Candidates must pay the prescribed fee, the details of which are given below. Payment mode is online through net banking, debit/credit cards etc or through cash deposit (e-challan) to be paid at State Bank of India branches only.

5. Print confirmation page:

after the payment is made and details submitted, candidates must download the confirmation page and save the same.

NEET Eligibility Criteria

National Testing Agency specifies the detailed  NEET  eligibility criteria which have to be met by every medical aspirant wishing to appear for the entrance test. The eligibility criteria are the conditions and guidelines pertaining to the qualifying exam, pass percentage, nationality, age limit, number of attempts and such.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board. Candidates who are appearing for the class 12 or equivalent exam are also eligible to apply for NEET 2021.

Minimum Age Requirement

Candidates must have completed 17 years 

Maximum Age Limit*

There is no upper age limit till the Supreme Court passes its judgement on it.

Qualifying Marks

The marks are separate for each category and can be listed as under. The marks to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects  UR – 50%,   OBC/SC/ST – 40%,  PWD – 45%

Nationality

Candidates who are Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply
