Academic Degree: Medical Doctor
To train specialists, according to International standards so that they will be able to continue their studies in residency or for doctorate programs.
The Outcome: Graduates will be able to pursue their studies in residency or for a doctorate. The graduate is required to be able to give consultation, assess clinical cases, assign investigations, conduct differential diagnoses, discuss disease management plans, provide first-aid and reanimate in case of emergencies, prescribe medicines, conduct practical procedures, use ethical and legal principles in medical practice, assess psychological and social factors concerning patient’s disease and put into effective medical practice and research the information and medical technologies and to conduct relevant activities in social healthcare.
Therefore, a graduate should be able to work effectively in the healthcare system and produce teamwork skills and communication skills in both native and foreign languages with an urgent desire to pursue and acquire all innovative methods and ways that will help with further adaptation and independent working. The Structure of the program: The program includes 360 credits. The whole course lasts 5 years. It includes 15 weeks and 10 semesters with additional 4 weeks of doctor and nurse training practice. Field of employment: Opportunity to work as a junior doctor, participation in pedagogical and scientific activities, participation in medical theory, which is a pre-requisite for pursuing studies in residency and for doctorate programs.
